What is SQL?

SQL is the core language used to do operations like store, access, modify & managing the data. SQL pronounced as "sequel", is a language that is used to manage data in RDBMS (Relational Database Management System). This language was developed by IBM in 1970s which follows the ISO (International Standard Organization) and ANSI (American National Standards Institute). Transact-SQL (T-SQL) is a scripting language used on SQL Server for programming & PL-SQL is used for programming in Oracle.

What is .Net Framework?

.Net Framework is the environment which helps in building, deploying & running business applications. There are many programming languages supported by .Net Framework.

.Net Framework consists of three main contents:

Development Tools & Language

These are used to create interface for windows forms, web forms & console applications. Development tools include visual studio 2005 & visual C# developer. The languages that can be used are Visual Basic.Net, C# or J#.
